Guest of the Month – Wedding Venue

Posted: 12th Feb 2016

We are launching a new blog series “Guest of the month” including top tips for all of you who’ve just got engaged and started to plan your wedding. We know how difficult and tricky it can be so we would like to make the whole process easier for you. Our aim is to help you with your wedding planning and introduce you to professional like-minded suppliers. Each month we will give the list of tips from vendors regarding different aspects of the wedding. Their professionalism and experience will help you with making the important decisions.

Wedding venue

In February the category is wedding venues. Read through the top tips received from the venues we work with closely and learn what is essential when it comes to selecting your wedding venue.

Estimate the cost

Before viewing your dream venue, always ask for a full itemised price list to see what is included in the price. Consider the total cost for food, drink and venue hire.

Wedding coordinator

An aspect that is often overlooked is the impression the wedding planner gives in showing you around the wedding venue. Who is entrusted in running your wedding planning is very key to how your wedding day will proceed.

An exclusive-use

Consider the advantages of going for an exclusive-use venue. There’s something special about having the whole venue to yourselves for the day, it gives a more relaxed feel. You would have your very own Event Manager and Catering Manager throughout the day, freedom to create a bespoke event, the list goes on…

Photoghraphy scenery

Check if the venue has good locations for your photographs to be taken. Decide if you are after historic site and glorious gardens, countryside rustic feel or modern chic.

Overall impression

When looking around wedding venues, take a moment and see how it feels to you. It might be a beautiful place, but if you can’t picture your own family and friends there celebrating with you, it’s not the right place.
